The tune sounds like random notes, reminiscent to a cat walking across the keyboard. There isn't anything memorable about this song, though the instruments are okay.

I know I'm getting back to you on this really late, but that's because after I posted this song I sort of gave up on Newgrounds for awhile. I really appreciate the fact that you took time out of your day to review this song though.
The tune is somewhat random. I just sort of slap together whatever notes, play it, and if I think it sounds good I just roll with it. Memorable wasn't really what I was going for here. If I had something that was memorable I wouldn't be still be stuck in the unscouted portal. At least I chose the instruments right, so I know where to go from here. Thanks a bunch, and sorry again for the late response.
I agree
Yeah I think it sucks too
Nice sounding

Hmm?
I thought it was a good track. Love the backing echo and fast paced rhythm. The detuned sound could add more to it than just complimenting the backing though.
Add more to it!
It sounds alright, but it doesn't really do much. Nice little beat you've got going there.
You've got a point. After several more listens, I admit it could use a little more. (I remind you however...it's just a loop!! not a full song!!)
Thanks a lot tho. I value your opinion. Thx for keepin it real.
Your best song yet
I think that your songs are quite similar to mine in style, I think this one would benefit from another tune over the top of the current piano backing.
With the piano and the drum bits it almost sounds like you're trying to make two different songs at the same time. The song's quite flat, try making different variations in pitch, it would be good to build it up to something before letting the drums kick into that roll thing (I don't know the name of it :P)
I hear some bad notes here, it could be worth making the entire song with the same instrument and when that sounds alright, change them all to different instruments (Low ones to a certain instrument and so on).
I don't know how you make your songs, I find the best way is to start with a beat, then to add a backing then to finally add a tune. The backing should just start with a single note and when you've got a catchy rhythm, you then start to alter their pitch.
Good luck!
thx but this song was not so serious made
i just wanted to try some stuff out
ty anyways
What's here is good, but there's not much here.
There is something quite Pet Shop Boys-like about the backing. The beginning took way too long to hotten up (Over half the song's length!) but once it got going it was good. I'm only rating it a 6 because I do believe there were only two different bits to this song. I liked the instruments and just wish there was more to this song. I feel that I'm being kind of harsh on this song but I really do feel you could have done more with it.
Heh. Binary form is usually fun as you can always add a break and add counterpoint when needed.
Distorted, but apart from that...
I love the tune, it all sounds good but it's way too loud and distorted. Some times, more is less.
oh right crap, i cant tell cause im using the audio out on my monitor. Maybe i should invest in some good speakers xD
Thanks for the comment
Repetitive but not too bad
I could have done with a tune over the top of it, as it is it's fairly repetitive, but I did like some of the bits, especially when accompanied by that beat. There's not enough variation to this song.
Sinister and brilliant
Something about the reverb of the instrument makes this song sound really interesting and 'flangy'. This could have been a sequel to Lady Eleanor by Lindisfarne! I thought it went well with the lyrics, which were well sung by you in that calm voice... but I wish the singing was louder so that I could actually make out all of the words with out having to consult the lyrics.
That's probably because the flange was turned up haha.
Yeah, it was pretty late and we were all tired, probably should have moved closer to the mic.
Repetitive
It sounded good at the start but it didn't really do anything interesting. It had a nice beat, but apart from different accompanying instruments, the rest of it stayed the same.
